Harlequin Round Robin = 16 December 2009

Hi Everybody,

 

This is a reminder that the annual Harlequin Round Robin will be held on Wednesday, 16 December 2009 at the Pinelands Tennis Club, commencing at 08h30.

 

Champagne breakfast will be served and the round robin should be finished by 1.00 p.m.

Entry fee is R 25.00 and there are prizes for winners.

Malibu Boland Open (13)14-17 Dec at Strand Tennis Club

Reminder from Pierre about the Boland leg of theCoastal Nationals, don't forget about our (WP) leg  either - get fact sheet here

 

Remember, they now have an open section, so this tournament is no longer just for juniors.

 

Can you please email to all Open/U18 players on your database to remind them of our Open event with dates as above.

As in the past, we have great prizes and prize-money again, and an exhibition by Jeff Coetzee and Rik de Voest is also on the cards for the 16th provisionally.

Singles and doubles for men and ladies, entries through www.satennis.co.za , closing date is 5 Dec.  All entrants must be SATA members.

• You should by now have all received your invoices and statements, reflecting any adjustments (if you have paid up in full you will not have got a statement, if you want a statement reflecting your zero balance please reply by email and I'll gladly send you one). If on the other hand you know you have dues outstanding but havn't got your statement, please let me know as well. I know that invoices and statements did go out a bit late this year, but please try to pay promptly - we have committed ourselves to some maintenance, including court re-surfacing and need the funds for these projects.
• A reminder about the Prize giving / Dinner spitbraai on the 28th of November - please book your ticket by the 20th (tomorrow). Craig (082 557 3553) or Di (082 411 6630).
• A somewhat early reminder (I'm sure I'll send another later) about the Harlequin tournament / champagne breakfast on the 16th of December (public holiday). It takes the form of a round robin, all are welcome young and old - and your dress, not your playing skills are the most important factor on harlequin day.

MTG News - November 2009 Upcoming Tournaments Academy Rankings

MTG is a Tennis Academy that offers professional tennis lessons to individuals of all ages and all skill levels. Norman McCarthy started the International Sports Academy (ISA) in 1997 and tennis was only one of the sports offered in the coaching program. Over time, the tennis program achieved great success and became MTG – McCarthy Tennis Group.

We have a structure of two programs that caters for both social and competitive players.

SOCIAL PROGRAM

• All players start here unless they transfer from other programs.
• Our social program has NINE levels catering for children and adults.

COMPETITIVE PROGRAM

• All tournament and league players participate in this program.
• Players must be evaluated before being accepted into these programs.
• Our competitive\academy program has SEVEN levels catering for u10 tournament players to international, world ranked, tournament players.

Whatever your level or needs MTG coaches train social beginners to become competitive league players, veterans who play for South Africa in National and International tournaments, SA National Champions, Provincial Champions and SA Junior National team members. MTG has students on tennis scholarships in the USA, Britain, Australia and South Africa.
